Phil CrewThe Resolute Group had the opportunity to attend the Expression of Interest event for the Greater Manchester–Germany Innovation Summit, hosted by GM Business Growth Hub at The Growth Company on Wednesday, 24.09.2025.
The event forms part of the Innovation Bridge initiative, which aims to accelerate growth and collaboration between Greater Manchester and the Ruhr region. It brought together stakeholders from both regions to explore opportunities for cross-border innovation, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships.
The summit was supported by key organisations including:
Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Business Metropole Ruhr GmbH, MIDAS – Manchester’s Inward Investment Agency, Innovation Greater Manchester, Deloitte, and thyssenkrupp.
During the event, Meike Tomlinson connected with several influential attendees, including Adeel Aslam, Amer Gaffar FRSA, Sven van den Bedem, Yubin Kim, and FUMIKI SAMEJIMA.
A notable highlight was the panel contribution from Jörg Kemna, CEO of Business Metropole Ruhr, whose insights were especially well-received.
There is strong anticipation around how the summit will evolve and the opportunities it will create for businesses in both regions and The Resolute Group appreciated the opportunity to gain valuable insights from those at the forefront of innovation and collaboration.
