On Thursday, 27th February 2025, Satt Singh Basra and Phil Crew represented The Resolute Group at the Railway Children Sleepout by spending the night sleeping rough at St Pancras Station.
Industry leaders from rail and transportation including Andy Lord, Nick Joyce, Mark Wild, Toufic Machnouk, and Heidi Alexander (Secretary of State, Transport) gathered and were superbly led by Anna Delvecchio in ensuring the importance of raising money to help children in the UK, India and Tanzania.

This was their first time (sorry Anna), however, not their last. Their desire to continue helping this wonderful cause has only grown. Even though it was very cold, super noisy and incredibly uncomfortable, it certainly brought home what so many vulnerable children suffer every single day.

The knowledge that they would sleep in their own beds that night amplifies the importance of charities like Railway Children, who work incredibly hard to ensure children don’t have to worry about sleeping rough at night.
As they sat on the London tube, both Satt and Phil felt empowered to return next year with industry colleagues to ensure continued growth in support, awareness, and much-needed funds.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.
P.S. A special mention for Jack Miller who guided everyone through the event both professionally and with a great sense of humour – pat yourself and your amazing team on the back. Also, a thank you to Andrew Wilkins and the team at VolkerRail Ltd for sponsoring the Big Station SleepOut.
And once again, credit to Satt Singh Basra and Phil Crew, who proudly represented The Resolute Group alongside industry colleagues at this important event.
